Current technology focuses on injecting and recovering limited amount of tracers per
stage, with no quantification or time locator.

Tracesa's technology can provide information on the dynamic progress of the fluid with multiple tracers in each stage with time and location data.  
Making it is possible to accurately identify injection and production dynamics which 
validates fracture and production modelling.

  • Inject unique tracers into each frac zone.
  • Time stamp fluids; e.g., early, mid & late stage frac initiation
  • Capture particles in returning fluids to extract DNA and analyse, for example:                                             Determine if there is flow-back from each frac zone and their ratios.                                                   Determine if flow-back is coming from early stage initiation.
  • Coat proppant with unique tracer particles that are, for example, released by water flow. 
  • Proppant can also be batch coated with different DNA signatures, as mentioned before: zone, time, etc.
  • Determine where water break thru occurs
  • Concentration of particles captured can help quantify which zone is producing most water
